Welcome


On behalf of Pi Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to our website. We are grateful that you have taken the time to browse in an effort to learn important information about our energetic, hard-working and award-winning chapter. For over thirty years, we have been committed to serving West Memphis and the surrounding communities in which we have made a positive and significant impact. Since chartering, June 6, 1987, numerous beneficial programs and activities have been implemented. Pi Chi Omega Chapter continues to provide service to all mankind, as envisioned by our founders and under the leadership of our 31st International President, Danette Anthony Reed. We are dedicated and committed to "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood" within the 2022-26 tenure. Our International Program Initiatives this administration has six initiatives. Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the administration’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission. The remaining five initiatives will serve as the “Program Initiatives” which include:
1. Empower Our Families
2. Build Our Economic Wealth
3. Enhance Our Environment
4. Advocate for Social Justice
5. Uplift Our Local Community
In addition to our community service projects, Pi Chi Omega Chapter has provided approximately over $200,000.00 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors to assist with college education costs through our Annual Twenty Pearls Scholarship Pageant which is one of our community’s largest event. We also collaborate with other community partners to deliver sustainable programs.
